Mehndi Competition PYP

Nag Panchami, is celebrated in all across of India, during the month of Shravan on the 5th day. In Maharashtra, the festival of Nag Panchami is celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm as its considered as one of the most auspicious ceremonies. Women and young girls are often seen applying mehndi on each other’s hand, in a traditional ritual which has been going on for years.

Keeping in mind the festivities and importance of Nag Panchami, a small celebration in the form of a competition was organized at MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul on Monday for its PYP 2 students, where students applied beautiful mehndi designs on each others hand and showcased their creative side.
